2009 Christmas Show

Vocal Artisans' members are also all members of the Grand Rapids Barbershop Chapter Great Lakes Chorus. They sing a variety of a-capella barbershop quartet music and are available for hire.

Doug Weaver- Baritone; Doug is the current President of the Great Lakes Chorus. He has performed with the quartet Barbershop Style, Opera Grand Rapids, Grand Rapids Symphony Chorus, Grand Rapids Community Chorus, the mixed small chorus Sidekicks, Lowell Showboat, and has toured internationally several times with the Grand Rapids Touring Choir. He and his wife Lynn live in Grand Rapids.

Robert Ryan- Bass; Robert was originally a member of the California barbershop Orange Empire Chorus. He played the tuba in stage shows for Disneyland and Universal Studios, as well as studio and street performances with Dixieland bands, marching bands, and drum and bugle corps. He has also toured internationally in the Continental Orchestra. Robert currently plays tuba in the Grand Rapids Symphonic Band and also sings in the barbershop quartet Reverie. He is a resident of Rockford MI with his wife Lisa and son Patrick.

Michael Baribeau- Lead; Michael is the Grand Rapids Chapter Webmaster at GreatLakesChorus.org
He is also photographer and editor of the Michigan and Ontario district barbershop music newsletter the Troubadour at PioneerDistrict.org/Troubadour
Michael is a resident of Rockford MI with his young son Lee.

Patrick Ryan- Tenor; Patrick is a student of Rockford High School. He plays synthesizer, piano, and guitar. Patrick composes music, particularly Electronica and Techno, and collaborates online with international vocalists. He also performs in the barbershop quartet Reverie. Patrick is the son of the quartet's bass Robert Ryan.
